OUR PROGRAMS
Big Brothers Big Sisters has a variety of volunteer opportunities available.
Matches come together through our two essential programs:
- Community-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet for 2 to 4 hours / 3 to 4 times per month in their community to share fun activities … stories … and a little bit of themselves. Learn more...
- Site-based Mentoring: Bigs and Littles meet in schools, libraries and community centers, to talk and have fun. It’s not about being a tutor … it’s about being a friend. This program is currently enrolling mentors at Grant Elementary School.
Many event volunteers are needed to help us raise money. This is how you can help:
- Fundraising Event Campaign's Leadership Cabinet: Many dedicated volunteers are needed to help plan and raise funds through relationships for all of our events. If you have a lot of relationships within the community and/or are comfortable with calling on businesses for support, this would be a great way for you to get involved. Email your interest to msmith@nwbigs.org.
- Day of Fundraising Event Volunteers: It takes a lot of volunteers in order for all of our events to run smoothly. Some things that you might do is registration, greeting, handing out gifts, handing out food/beverages, taking photos, etc. If you are just looking to volunteer a couple hours, a couple times per year, this would be a great way for you to get involved. Email your interest to msmith@nwbigs.org.
