When people think of mentoring programs, they think of Big Brothers Big Sisters. As an established youth organization, for more than 100 years, we’ve developed youth mentoring programs that work. Our experienced approach to recruiting, screening, matching and supporting our mentoring relationships has resulted in thousands of lasting relationships that have changed the lives of young people across the country.

We work closely with parents/guardians because their support is vital. Not only do they provide information about their child’s strengths and needs, but they approve the selection of the Big Brother or Big Sister. Once the match is made, parent involvement, though limited, is essential to keeping the match relationship strong.
